Sea Battle
is a multi-player game very similar to that of
Battleship
. A few differences exist. For instance, players on defense can move their ships. Also ships not sunk can have their parts regenerate over a period of time.
Who came up with the name

Alexey. He was unaware that the game was called
Battleship
. Ever since that point, the name
Sea Battle
stuck.
Why not just stick with the rules of
Battleship
?
In order for this project to be a three-person project, our instructor required that we added more "timing issues" to the game.

Your game is incredibly slow. Do you have any ideas for improvement?
Future work involves rewriting the server using socket programming in C++ instead of with CGI, and the client using COMET instead of AJAX.
